About the Electrify Fund

Expanding Clean Energy in WNC

The Electrify Fund was created to make the cost savings, reliability and resilience benefits, and emissions reductions associated with clean energy and energy efficiency projects attainable to Western North Carolina (WNC) businesses and nonprofits.

Creation of the Electrify Fund

Based on more than 35 years of experience supporting small businesses to start, grow, and thrive in WNC, Mountain BizWorks is excited to launch and grow this new program to help address some of the historical gaps and challenges that have prevented small businesses and nonprofits as well as small local governments from lowering their utility bills and increasing their energy independence.

Zero-emissions transportation and charging infrastructure

Thanks to our visionary funding partners, we are able to offer financing for these projects across the entirety of Western North Carolina, along with subsidized extra-low interest rates and additional support services for businesses and nonprofits based in low-income and disadvantaged communities.

Is My Organization Eligible for Funding?

The Electrify Fund is available to any business or non-profit in the 26 westernmost counties of North Carolina that make up Mountain BizWorks’ service area.

Organizations located in eligible areas qualify for even lower interest rates as well as additional technical assistance offerings. Enter your organization’s address into this mapping tool to find out if you qualify for these rates.
