Solar Energy or Energy Storage

If you think your business or organization could benefit from solar energy or energy storage solutions, we recommend reaching out to one of the reputable local contractors below. They can assess your property’s potential and help you understand your options.

Energy Efficiency

There are many ways to improve the energy efficiency of your building and lower your heating and electric bills. If you aren’t sure where to start, or want help prioritizing your list of potential energy saving projects, the best starting point is an energy audit. An energy professional will assess your building’s energy performance and inform you of the best ways to begin reducing your energy use and costs. The local contractors listed below can help you with this first step.

We also recommend that Duke Energy customers reach out to the utility to understand what costs they may cover and which energy efficiency incentives may be available; there are a number of cost-sharing and other programs available to their customers, and a dedicated team to help you navigate them.

Assistance for Qualified Organizations

If your business or nonprofit is located in a low-income and disadvantaged community (see map), you are likely eligible for technical assistance grant funding to help begin your energy efficiency journey.

The Electrify Fund can help cover the cost of an energy audit. In addition, we can equip you with a personalized plan showing how you can reach net-zero emissions in the future.
